Kilkee Community College
Student Council
We value the student voice in our school. Through the Student Council our students can act as a collective to demonstrate action or advocacy on an issue in school, the local community or at national level.
The student council is a committee set up to represent the student body in our school. There are two members on the committee from each year group. The student Council representatives are elected by the student body. The election is organised and run as part of the CSPE programme in our school. Within the committee there is a chairperson, treasurer and secretary.
The student council is involved in both extracurricular and academic activities organised throughout the school year. Every student in Kilkee Community College is encouraged and welcome to come to the student representatives at any time with any arising issues, concerns or suggestions. These queries and suggestions are brought to our regular committee meetings where they are discussed amongst both the student and teacher representatives.
